The Success Principles: How to Get From Where You Are to Where You Want to Be this question feed

If there's anyone qualified to write a self-help book on success, it's Jack Canfield, who's worked his way from scraping by as a teacher to holding a Guinness world record for having seven books simultaneously on The New York Times® Best Sellers list.

As a coauthor of the Chicken Soup for the Soul® series, he's sold more than 80 million books, and now lives "in a beautiful California estate" with his days of dining on spaghetti and tomato paste long behind him. "All you have to do is decide what it is you want, believe you deserve it, and practice the principles in this book," he says, and success is yours.

His advice is straightforward (examples: "reject rejection" and "surround yourself with successful people"), but rather derivative, with quotes from the likes of JFK, Colin Powell, Aldous Huxley, and fellow motivation author Napoleon Hill.Canfield's definition of success is primarily monetary, and he includes plenty of anecdotes depicting average folks who saved themselves from the brink of bankruptcy after following his principles. He could tone down the braggadocio; readers don't need to know that he's stayed in resorts in Hawaii, Italy, Australia, and Morocco. Despite those gripes, his cheerleader-caliber enthusiasm should benefit anyone looking to improve their lot in life. --Erica Jorgensen

Canfield's The Success Principles is a well-written summary of the wealthy and rich's day to day "rules to live by". It motivates and inspires. Recommendation for similar book: Investing With out Losing

By far, this is the best personal development book I've ever read. Inspirational and insightful. Will likely become the most well-read, tattered and worn book on my shelf.

Only knowing Jack Canfield from the very successful "Chicken Soup for the Soul" mega series, I had no idea his abilities as a motivational mentor and coach. Although this book title seemed to be directed toward business success, the gems of this book can be used in every aspect of your life. This lengthy book is full of words of wisdom and wit. Lines that will move you to tears of discovery or move you to change directions. A absolute must read book for understanding the real you.

I have a lot of success books in my personal library, including the classics, Think and Grow Rich, Law of Success, The Magic of Thinking Big among others. I love reading self-improvement books and borrowed this book from the library not expecting it to be much different than the others but motivational none-the-less. Boy, was I wrong. For me this book, puts the "icing on the success cake" and in some way completes the other success books I have. The ideas are very practical and I have acutally put them into use more easily than other principles I have read about before (in the other books I own).

As I pursue my personal goals, it is the principles presented in Canfield's book that I recall and put into practice. It keeps me motivated to continue to pursue the goals I have set for myself. I haven't finished my first reading and yet I am experiencing a positive and enpowering difference in my life.

I feel asthough this is It! This is the book I needed to owe, read and apply to take me to the next level in every area of my life.

Do yourself a favour order the book, read it, study it and apply what you read and you can't go wrong. Totally Excellent!!!!!
