Turning forty, fifty, or sixty is not about getting older, it's about becoming ageless . . .

Renowned style expert and fashion consultant Christine Schwab sees aging as an opportunity to revitalize your style and enliven your attitude. In her frank, opinionated, and provocative style, she writes the book that defies many of the fashion and beauty industry philosophies.

Now more than ever, women have the ability to look and feel fresh, chic, and fabulous at any age, simply by understanding age maintenance. Schwab is adamant that with all this new ageless information and technology, it is imperative to be informed about what works and what does not..

In this honest and empowering book, she offers the first open-minded approach to style, beauty, health, and well-being that will help every forty-plus woman achieve a classic look while maintaining her edge and personality.

A personal stylist and support group within a book, The Grown-Up Girl's Guide to Style addresses every aspect of aging, from hair and makeup to sex and family life. Straightforward and candid, Schwab even embraces once taboo subjects, offering the lowdown from leading doctors and surgeons on injectable skin treatments, cosmetic surgery and dentistry, and hormone replace-ment therapy. Accompanying her eye-opening advice are dozens of fun, revealing photographs—including celebrity profiles, woman-on-the-street snapshots, stunning professional photography, and even personal photographs of Schwab herself—that demonstrate style disasters (sleeveless tops, head-to-toe denim, and more), and dazzling triumphs.

The Grown-Up Girl's Guide to Style holds the ultimate insider's secrets to a beautiful, sexy, and healthy life after forty. An essential book for the modern "grown-up girl," it is sure to dramatically rejuvenate the already-stylish, the aspiring-to-be-stylish, and the simply style-challenged woman in her prime.

A great book to see Girls over 40 in a totally new perspective. While reading the book a felt immerse in a one to one personal stylist but most importantly I felt facing a life coach. Aging is not a simply issue in the 21st century but the book was helpful to understand ways to look and feel fresh and young in style. Highly recommended item to get. Perfect gift for my friends, my age!

I'm glad I got this out of the library instead of buying it. There are lots of great photos, but far too many Don'ts and not enough Do's! And I came away feeling like there's absolutely NOTHING I can wear. I mean, I'm almost 45 and I know I don't look that fabulous in shorts (despite not being overweight, and despite spider-vein treatments) -- but I am NOT going to give up wearing them in hot weather, especially at the beach! I'm also not going to give up short-sleeved tops in hot weather, either. And I'm sick and tired of hearing about how every over-40 woman in this country (except me) is getting Botox, Restylane, surgery, etc. The fact that Ms. Schwab has had a lot of these procedures makes me lose respect for her.

Thank you Christine Schwab for a refreshing, fun and most of all HONEST approach to style and the older woman.
It is rare that another woman can be this open about what looks good on us mature gals. Living in Los Angeles - a youth obessed town and culture that leads so often to paranoia about self image as soon as you turn twenty five let alone fifty. I was thrilled to read this book and feel reassured that my beauty is only improving with age and how to show that.
I laughed, cried and smiled at the photos and (shame) have to admit to some mistakes myself - but no more - I will be sending this to my mum, sister and keeping a box of extras in my car to throw at women in the street who are still hanging on to their teens instead of embracing their warm, sexy, hot mama later years.
Like the French say;
A beautiful woman is like a good bottle of port - she gets better with age!
Thank you Ms Schwab.
