There was very little useful information in the book about the details of obtaining patents or trademarks - a lot of legal definitions and the like but few nuts and bolts for anyone looking to apply for them.

A practical guide to legal rules about protecting your intellectual property (IP). If your business relies significantly on IP to generate value, you may find that you can use your legal counsel better after reading this book.

I looked at a handful of books on the subject, and this one was the easiest to read, the most succinct, and yet still the most comprehensive. Rather than rambling, it just gets to the point in an enjoyable way.

I didn't read it cover to cover, but opened it at the points where I was at that part of the process. Good for reading that way. Get up to speed on, for example, copyright, move on in your business, revisit the book later when you're doing, for example, patents.
