This book was exactly what I was looking for. I know nothing about cattle, my husband has raised them since he was young. I wanted a book that would explain the "little things" to me so I wouldn't have to ask him day in day out what this meant, what they are doing, how will we know when they are in heat, etc. It's very interesting, easy read and very informative.

If you are considering the honorable field of cattle raising then this book should be the first read! Excellent and full of common sense and some humor. The only thing this book left out was reccomending to remove your rings prior to inserting your arm up the dirty end of a cow. My strongest reccomendation...
