Ms Rubin Wolf is a master at assembling a dizzying array of various art styles. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Unfortunately for me, I already know what I like - representative art with an eye toward good color harmony. I purchased the book hoping it would elevate my portrayal of light and shade. This book did not meet this quest.

This was the first Splash book I had seen and I've now purchased all of them. As a newby to watercolor I have to say this is the most inspiring book on watercolor I have ever seen. The book includes 109 different artist's and, true to the title, all pics display spectacular ways of dealing with light as the focal point of the painting. Whenever I'm stuck for an idea, a quick review of this book has me rushing for my paints.
