A complete reference grammar book of Spanish. Explanations are provided in English, examples translated, for easy understanding. The grammar is completely cross-referenced for quick access to further information if needed. Summary charts give an overview of each topic and enable readers to check information at a glance. Complete conjugation tables give immediate access to verb forms. The appendix contains a list of more that one thousand verbs with their complement structure. Another special feature of the book is the self-correction strategies which help users diagnose and correct their own errors, as they learn the language and use it to communicate their thoughts orally and in writing.

Excellent reference book for independent learners and learners taking s Sapanish course . In my opinion, it will help with increasing one's understanding of, "how to say (or want to say) in Spanish" and "what you said {or want(ed) to convey} from your thoughts in English" and how to say it.

This is a difficult book for beginner-level spanish language students. I kept it b/c I understand that it is one they use at the immersion course I will be taking soon in Mexico.
Probably will not use it before that or subsequent.

As the editor of the Learning Spanish Products Reviews (LearningSpanishProductsReviews) site, several of my subscribers have emailed me and asked that I review Spanish Grammar for Independent Learners.
Although I was not familiar with Spanish Grammar for Independent Learners until several of my subscribers requested that I review it, I am very glad that they asked me to review this book. That's because this book ended being one of the best Spanish grammar books that I have ever reviewed.
This book takes the student above and beyond the Spanish curriculum found in most Spanish grammar books. To give you an idea, this book contains tips and techniques for writing essays and stories in Spanish and even delivering speeches to groups of people in Spanish. Consistent with the book's title, Spanish Grammar for Independent Learners, the book has countless sections devoted to self-correction techniques to help the independent learner of Spanish.
One of the book's greatest features is its Summary Charts (Visual Charts) which not only give the reader an overview of a given topic, but also allow the reader to check information
at a glance.
I also enjoyed the Lexicon: A list of verbs and information on which preposition to use with the respective verb, and whether the verb governs the subjunctive or the indicative. Another helpful feature of this book is its detailed index which directly refers the reader to the appropriate pages in the book in order to find certain grammatical rules or the proper use of a Spanish word. I also must add that the appendix has complete verb conjugation tables of what appears to be hundreds of verbs.
I cannot say enough great things about this book and highly recommend it to anyone committed to learning Spanish on her own.

THIS BOOK IS WONDREFUL. I already speak a couple of languages, but this book is even magnificent for one who only speaks their native tongue. It simply focuses on grammar--not on useless vocabulary that you can pick up as the days go by, but the method of how words are laid down together! Wonderful!
