The gorgeous full color reproductions of famous pictures (and lesser known ones) drew me to this beautiful book.

If you enjoy genre and narrative art, as well as Victorian art - you might enjoy this volume.

One caveat - the text is rather dry - it might appeal more to an art scholar -- but to me the pictures more than made up for the text.
