Set in 1818 England, Venetia Hamilton is the oldest illegitimate daughter of a famous erotic artist. Since her father's hands are crippled, Venetia now draws and paints the carnal pictures that tantalize society. And she's being blackmailed about it.

In order to protect her mother and younger sisters, Venetia cooperates with Marcus Wyndham, the Earl of Trent. He's also being blackmailed about a vicious family secret. The blackmailer is an aging and famous courtesan. Venetia and Marcus attend a country house party/orgy, facing the blackmailer and murder and their own desires.

Pretty good story but, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, the sex was too much, too repetitive, too boring. By Chapter Six or so I skimmed the sex passages. I was more interested in the mystery - who killed the blackmailer and is now after the blackmailer's journal?

The beauty of erotica is drawn from a vivid and fertile imagination. One that sees the different scenes in which hedonistic flavor abounds within her colored pages. Open the book to explore the artistic world of Sin!

One woman's sexual dalliances over the years has yield her a wealth of secrets that she hopes will give her blackmail money as her beauty starts to pass. This is where the stories begins...

Venetia Hamilton is caught in an era when women are not allowed many rights, much less the right to paint erotic pictures for books. Yet, one woman does just that, only one man that she repeatedly paints will come to live right before her eyes. He is the great rakehell, the Earl of Trent, and he is furious that he has been depicted in the lewd ways that Venetia has painted. But, He will find her innocence and free spirit too heady an aphasiac to resist. Together, they will find themselves going to an orgy to face a blackmailer. Things will get twisted and deadly before you can say `phallic'.

SIN is by author Sharon Page. Ms. Page has a sensually sinful voice. From the moment the first page is turned Ms. Page starts the reader on a sensuous journey into a historical world of grandeur and elegant characters that begin to work their magic, capturing your heart. The sinfully descriptive sex is undeniably breathtaking. Ms. Page will also create emotional wealth with her well-written characters and their heated dialogues. All this combined with a twist of a whodunit will keep the pages turning and your entertainment level on high.

Venetia is a woman ahead of her time. She wants freedom and the ability to earn a good living painting erotic scenes revolving around the royalty of the Ton. Only her dead on depiction of one such man, the Earl of Trent will land her in hot water. He will threaten to expose her if she does not stop painting erotic art and will end up exposing her to much more than a gentleman really should, but then, he is no gentleman and soon, she will understand all the sexual nuances she has been missing.

There are few erotic historical novels with this kind of elegant sensuality and crafting that SIN by Sharon Page exhibits in spades! This reviewer highly recommends this novel and cannot wait to see what Ms. Page pens for her next heated tale of love abound and untamed.

In 1818 Lydia Harcourt begins alphabetically blackmailing her lovers. When she reaches R she goes after renowned artist Rodesson Hamilton, whose rheumy hands do not allow him to paint anymore. Lydia knows his last two erotic art books; Tales of a London Gentleman and Gentleman's Pleasures were different from one another as if different artists painted each tome. Since his incapacity is a secret, she assumes that his daughter Venetia, a portrait artist, did the last erotica. Lydia plans to make money off of his secret.

Someone has learned the truth about the shared secret of Venetia and her dad; that someone threatens to reveal the truth to the Ton if the Hamiltons fail to pay the exorbitant demands. Venetia thinks of her recent portrait subject, Earl Michael Wyndham, the first and only person to make her want another soul; she also believes he can help her deal with the family blackmailer. As he teaches her the world of sensuality, someone wants their investigation stopped and is willing to kill to achieve that objective.

Though a sensual erotic Regency romantic suspense, Venetia and Michael are strong characters in and out of bed as their lust for one another goes deeper than the fervent carnal relationship. Their heat is the prime plot, but the investigative intrigue enhances a well written fascinating historical. It would be a SIN if sub-genre fans missed this delightful page turning tale.
