Internationally renowned divorce therapist Bruce Fisher and his 700,000-copy bestselling guide, Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends, have made the long and difficult process of divorce recovery a lot easier. FisherÆs divorce process rebuilding blocks offer a proven, supportive nineteen-step process for putting oneÆs life back together after divorce. Built on more than two decades of research and practice, Rebuilding reflects feedback from, and the experiences of hundreds of thousands of divorced men and women who have read and used Rebuilding. Clearly the most widely used approach to divorce recovery, FisherÆs rebuilding model has made the divorce process less traumatic, even healthier, for his readers. The third edition, revised and updated with the assistance of psychologist and marriage and family therapist Dr. Robert Alberti, continues BruceÆs tradition of straight-to-the-heart response to the needs of those who are divorcing or divorced.

We have used this book and workbook in a divorce recovery group at church no going on the 3rd session. We have found that it is quite helpful and provides a clear description of the issues faced by those in either a separation or divorce situation.
The biggest problem is that it is no longer in print and is often hard to find sufficient quantities for the group--except through Amazon.com.

When a relationship ends, it feels like a car wreck! Everything hurts, your days become longer your nights become lonelier and the inevitable question of why comes up. Why did that person leave? Why wasn't I good enough? Why didn't I see it coming? Why does it hurt so badly? Why can't I stop the pain? An endless stream seems to conquer your will to move on to the next level of a better tomorrow.

Bruce Fisher and Robert E. Alberti have written a book that can help you understand the why's and get you to the how's...How to rebuild your life. How to get through your day and move on to the next. Excellent book, excellent read.

This book is amazing! It has been really helpful as I am trying to heal from my divorce. I really love the content and advice and all of the great exercises that really help stimulate various thoughts and emotions and are helping me to better understand myself, my relationship, and what I need to do heal myself and be ready for another relationship. As a counselor, I also recommend this book to my clients who are experiencing the loss of a relationship, and I have seen them heal as they go through this book. It's an excellent resource!

After an awful divorce (not my choice) of a relationship of 20 years and marriage of 11 years and a an 8 mos. old baby, this book was a godsend! It really hit on so many things I was feeling. It guided me though each phase that I was going through. I picked it up often to re-read. I would recommend this book to anyone who has just came out of a terrible breakup.
