A new shonen sensation in Japan, this series features Monkey D. Luffy, whose main ambition is to become a pirate. Eating the Gum-Gum Fruit gives him strange powers but also invokes the fruit's curse: anybody who consumes it can never learn to swim. Nevertheless, Monkey and his crewmate Roronoa Zoro, master of the three-sword fighting style, sail the Seven Seas of swashbuckling adventure in search of the elusive treasure "One Piece."

Awesome start to an awesome series. The only major changes I can find is changing Zoro to Zolo, but that never really bothered me that much.

So yeah, I would suggest buying this.

I still dont know how I got to buy this manga, I got so followed up on this manga that I when I got stuck waiting for the english papers I decided to keep downloading, until vol 40! I am still shock this is a great story, eventhough a lot of persons say that this is not a good art, but for me its one of the best stories and the art is pretty good...

I have been following the adventures of Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Ussop, Robin and little Reinder! They are an awesome group even got some of the movies, cool!

The adventures are really great! The passion the artist, this reminds me of Dragonball... somehow, but still its much better I hope to see the Nakama of Luffy complete and see him become the King of the Pirates!
