With Kiss and Tell, Cherry Adair wowed readers and set their pulses racing. The breathless, adventure-filled books that followed transformed Adair into one of romantic suspense’s brightest stars. No,w in her long-awaited hardcover debut, the award-winning author thrills us with a wild ride through the frozen north, where there are dangers greater than the bitter cold–and passions hot enough to melt ice.

Lily Munroe thought she had married an honest, dependable man, but she was painfully mistaken. It didn’t take long for her once-loving husband to become a secretive stranger–mixing with shady people and even shadier dealings. Although Lily nursed him through a sudden terminal illness, her marriage was over long before he passed away. During that difficult time, only her passion for the exhilarating Iditarod race across Alaska gave her something to look forward to–and she channeled her emotions into training dogs for the grueling event. Now single again, she’s more determined than ever to win the race, awaken her sense of self, and leave her past behind.

In the competition, the person to beat is two-time winner Derek Wright, a man Lily dubs Mr. Wrong. Extremely sexy and devilishly charming, Derek is the consummate playboy. Or is he? Although Lily can’t deny her intense attraction, she believes he is dangerous to her scarred heart. Little does she know that Derek is an elite antiterrorism agent–or how desperately she’ll need to depend on his skills to keep her alive once the race is under way.

Derek Wright is an undercover TFLAC agent dedicated to ridding the world of terrorism, one bad guy at a time. He moved to Montana to purchase a ranch and set up a front for his activities. When he first lays eyes on town vet Lily, he falls hard, and his best pal Sean, ever competitive, chases and wins Lily for himself, only to cheat on her from day one. Ready to serve him with divorce papers, Lily discovers that Sean is terminally ill and has six months to live - six months that turn into three long years. When Sean dies, Lily discovers that Sean was involved in a bull semen scam that could topple their ranch. She is not sure who was involved, including Derek. She is afraid of getting involved with a man like Derek... but Derek is persistent.

As Lily is preparing to race the annual Iditarod, a grueling 1100 mile race in the wilds of Alaska, she hopes to race sans Derek. No such luck, he won't leave their relationship to chance this time. As the two start the race, he discovers that a Serbian warlord has entered the US and might be planning an attack on US soil in Alaska. When Lily suddenly finds herself being shot at intentionally, Derek fears that his job has put her in danger. Could there be more than one bad guy out there?

Adair did her homework and it really shows, as the action in the wilds of Alaska make the reader feel like a part of the story - not just an observer. And unlike so many romance novels where the protagonists jump into bed immediately then declares their undying love, Adair deftly chose to drag the romance out, providing a more realistic spin on the relationship. It is an engaging saga in the Wright Brother series, managing to accomolish a rarity - improving on its predecessor.

This is my first book by Cherry Adair, and I have to say that it pleasantly surprised me! I didn't know what to expect with this writer, but now I'm definitely gonna try to get my hands on other books written by Ms Adair!

This story is full of adventure taking place in Montana and Alaska. There's a ton of action, romance, drama, suspense, and even a bit of comedy! At times, it can be a little hard for the squeamish, but it's definitely not gory like a horror story.

I recommend this book to anyone who is a romantic and has a penchant for action and thrillers!
