I found this to be is a very good test prep book, and I highly recommend it.

I checked out the 1995 edition from my public library in California, only to discover that the book is oriented towards New York State! Nothing on the cover indicates this. Quite a few pages are taken up by boilerplate "how to take a test" crap that I, like most people, had pretty much mastered by eighth grade, and a general-purpose glossary of legal terms.
The only thing of any value was a bunch of sample questions, but even these were based on New York, so are of limited use in any other state.
Essentially, the book is a combination of the useless (unless you live in New York) and the inane. If I'd spent money for this book, I'd be seriously upset. I'm not real happy about having wasted the time it took to find it and check it out at the library. Failure to disclose the New York orientation is, it seems to me, tantamount to deceptive advertising on the part of the publisher.
Perhaps the 2002 edition has been substantially improved, but I wouldn't part with my money without knowing more.
