Natural Hormone Replacement is a succinct, concise, surprisingly thorough explanation of the evidence supporting bioidentical female hormone replacement. Lengthier treatments of this topic devote more discussion to inadequately designed, overpublicized studies, including the Womens Health Initiative and US Nurses Health Study. Jonathan Wright focuses primarily on better designed studies, which received less publicity in over sensationalized media coverage. The discussion of estriol / estradiol plus estrone ratio and breast cancer rates is especially informative. Surprisingly, etiocholanolone testing is discussed in this unexpectedly thorough book. Increased cancer rates occurring with progesterone deficiency are clearly explained. Wright provides a rational analysis and overview of the relative risk of underemphasized cardiovascular mortality compared to overemphasized breast cancer risk. Wright has written magazine articles for years and his ability to clearly explain large amounts of information and research concisely are refreshing. We have seen bioidentical estradiol, progesterone, DHEA and testosterone replacement treat severe depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia and migraine pain, at Florida Detox. Hormone replacement works much faster, than antidepressant therapy and can be used with patients who have adverse reactions, to almost every non-bioidentical pharmaceutical.

Read this book. It will get you long on knowledge you really should know in short order. A HUGE misunderstanding has been created (on purpose, by the major pharmaceutical companies, or through the unfortunate ignorance of medical professionals) about synthetic, altered, equine, patented, profitable hormone replacement therapy (HRT) vs. Bio-Identical HRT. Everybody should know the difference and how it can affect their health.

Bio-identical hormones are not all they are cracked up to be. They have serious, dangerous impacts on the human body. Please, if you are going to try these, do your homework first. A growing number of women are experiencing lethal side effects. Some don't make it out the other side. I am one of the lucky ones - I survived the blood clots in my legs and two near-fatal, year-long illnesses connected with use of "natural" progesterone. Since that time, I have been contacted by scores of women who have suffered due to use of these hormones. I hope this information will be helpful to someone else, too. Please, safeguard your health - no one else is going to do it for you.
