Book 4 of Love Comes Softly. Reuniting with their daughter's family, grandparents Clark and Marty's hope and faith are tested by a tragedy. Another Janette Oke bestseller!
Reviews
dear readers I have not read any of these books before this one, but I have seen the movies. Odviously I loved them, so I wanted to read the series. When I bought this one I thought "o.k., mostly Marty and Clark." But when I started reading the first page my attention went elseware. THIS BOOK IS SO BORING THAT I DONT THINK THAT I CAN BARE TO FINNISH IT! No offence to the author, but I suppose that I, a teenager, am to young to appreciate the dull reminecences, the unimaginative dialog, and all of the deep southern accents. I am only on page 40 and I am looking for another book to read. So my advice to anyone looking for any action or plot in a book, is to pass this one up and see the movie (cringes as she says it, because she never says it)! I picked up this book thinking that it was a non-cheesy not dscriptive romance novel. But she spends eight times the time thinking and talking about herself than thinking and talking to Clark. I might have enjoyed this seiries if I had read about younger characters.

It's not my favorite, but it is probably the most powerful. (Love Comes Softly still takes the cake for top book though!) It's a story of a journey from hope, to despair, and back again to hope.
When Clark and Marty finally go to visit Missie and Willie on their ranch, they are so excited! But when tragedy strikes, and Clark is severely injured, laying in bed and seemingly dying, will Marty turn to God for comfort? Will Clark survive the agonizing ordeal? Will a doctor be found for the area? A story of love and forgiveness, and healing the pain of the past.
A great book from a great author!
