Lord Kir of Oz By Mackenzie McKade , Cheyenne McCray
Book 1 in the Return to Wonderland series.

Dorothy Abigail Osborne can't stand another minute in her small Kansas town, where the men are either too old, too young, or too backwoods. Not to mention living with her elderly Aunt Maye, who thinks sex is one of the seven deadly sins. But just as she's packing her bags, disaster strikes. A tornado barrels through her home, snatching up Abby and her Irish Wolfhound, too.

When Abby wakes, she's sure she's dreaming. Not only is she not in Kansas anymore, she's on another planet. An enchanting planet filled with sexy men more than willing to make all her erotic dreams come true…

Lord Kir, Ruler of Emerald City and Lord of the cave-dwelling mountain wolves, finds a treasure on his yellow brick road. She's beautiful. She's confusing. She's absolutely maddening. Abby isn't from his world—nonetheless, he knows he must make her his own.

Claim her.

Teach her the pleasures of submission.

Yes. This was his woman, his kitten, his lifemate. Abby Osborne will belong to Kir for eternity…if he can keep her from killing him first.

Although I liked the concept of a hedonistic version of Oz as the backdrop for this book, it wasn't what I expected. This book is for bondage/domination/submission fans only.
The female lead, Dorothy aka "Abby" is held captive and erotically tortured/punished by Lord Kir of Oz. I never really believed that Abby could fall in love with Kir as he kept her prisoner AGAINST her will. I don't mind bondage scenes as long as everyone's willing, but in this case I felt Abby sufferred from the Stockholm victim syndrom by empathizing with her captor.

Also, I thought the ending was WAY over-the-top and carnal for no reason. I found myself rolling my eyes at the ending and I wanted to tell Dorothy to stay in Kansas.

This version of Oz has a yellow brick road paved with precious solid gold and Abby is no innocent Dorothy. She is looking for adventure outside her small town, and boy, is she in for a howling good time!

Dorothy "Abby" Abigail Osborne lives on a sedate farm in Kansas. She is tired of her mundane lifestyle and the boring sexual activities this town has to offer. She decides to leave Aunt Maye and the farm for the bright lights of New York City. With all the courage she can muster, and her dog O, Abby will leave behind her old life to start anew.

A Sudden storm strikes the farm creating a tornado. Abby's red-hot Ford Mustang is caught-up in the whirling mass. Before Abby is knocked-out, she fears her end is near. Abby awakens, in the arms of a gorgeous, blue eyed, blond nude stranger in a mythically sparkling realm! She must be dreaming - right?

Lord Kir of Oz is a written collaboration between authors Cheyenne McCray and Mackenzie McKade - and is written in tandem perfection! This story will carry you away to a place that is sharp-witted and totally entertaining. The descriptions are vividly brilliant and breathtakingly enchanting. These two authors created a believable realm that this reader wanted to fall into! They took an old storyline and twisted it up with carnal bondage and sinful foreplay that made this reader melt with envy. The intense sub-plots will keep readers glued to the story!

Lord Kir is the master at pleasure and pain. With his aggressively growling persona, he gives a whole new meaning to, "it hurts so good." Taming the fiery spirited Abby just might quiet the beast within Lord Kir. Can Kir convince Abby her place is by his side and within his kingdom? When these two finally get together, their carnal and savage passions will exploded from the pages! The casts of secondary characters are just as yummy and provocative. Readers might recognize them from Ms. McCray's other Wonderland series.

This is a fantastic whipped-up tale that any fans of Ms. McCray and Ms. McKade or Ellora's Cave will not want to miss! This sexed-up version of Oz is a must read and this reviewer loved every moment reading! It is a solid 5 hearts! Hurry down your own yellow brick road to get Lord Kir of Oz today!

Abby is stuck on a farm in Kansas. She needs to spread her wings, see the world, and have mind-blowing, knock-your-socks-off sex! She packs up herself and Otto, her faithful Irish Wolfhound, and sets off. Mother Nature has a change of plans. After a tornado that's out of this world, Abby wakes to find herself in the arms of a man right out of her wet dreams. Everything in this place is amazing, right down to the mýnage that happens right in front of her! Definitely not Kansas!

Lord Kir, King of Emerald City, is a powerful, sexy alpha werewolf. From the moment he sees Abby he knows that she will be his. Her scent stirs his blood as no other has done. Even unconscious, bleeding, and a battered mess, Lord Kir still wants her with a powerful yearning. He heals her, eager to bend her to his will.

Abby desires this delicious man with every pore of her body. That is, until he opens his mouth. Abby is floored that this Adonis would have the audacity to tell her what to do! Lord Kir is amazed that this beautiful, spirited creature would dare tell him no! What ensues is a battle of wills. Let the taming begin!

Lord Kir of Oz is a delightful page turner that kept me riveted from start to finish. The combined writing force of Cheyenne McCray and newcomer Mackenzie McKade is proving to be a steamy team most definitely on my must-buy list. Their writing is so skillful and smooth it's hard to know who was writing for which character.

Abby's lively spirit kept me in stitches, while at the same time, I felt her growing affection for Lord Kir. Lord Kir is a dominating alpha male that would have me on my knees saying, "Yes, Milord," in a heartbeat! Lord Kir's inner turmoil as he recognizes and accepts his feelings for Abby give him depth as a character.

The BDSM and fantastically hot sex in this book gave me a delicious tingle all over as I turned the scorching pages. The back and forth banter between Abby and Lord Kir was titillating and amusing. The surprising twists, and challenges that this couple overcome keep Lord Kir of Oz fresh and fast-paced. The cast of characters from both the Wonderland and Return to Wonderland series keeps me coming back for more. I've read this story three times already.

I look forward to the next joint venture in this series from Ms.McCray and Ms.McKade. I say run, don't walk, to get Lord Kir of Oz. Have the fire department on standby, because this is a five alarm fire of a story.
