Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews: Biochemistry has been the best-selling medical-level biochemistry review book on the market for the past ten years. The book is beautifully designed and executed, and renders the study of biochemistry enormously appealing to medical students and various allied health students. It has over 125 USMLE-style questions with answers and explanations, as well as over 500 carefully-crafted illustrations. The Third Edition includes end-of-chapter summaries, illustrated case studies, and summaries of key diseases.

Easy to understand with numerous illustrations and very good explanations.
I think the unique style with which this book is written, will help even
a student who previously had bad or little knowledge of the different
sides of the subject of Biochemistry.

This book provides a good starting point for medical biochemistry courses. It is a useful text when combined with a more advanced biochemistry book.

This was a very good book for coursework, especially since the syllabus from BOD wasn't that good. For the boards, I just skimmed this book, particularly paying attention to the end of chapter summaries...I read through first aid biochem, and any topic I felt was hard to grasp i would re-read it in lippincotts. recommend this for boards when studying pathways... rememeber only study and read about pathways that are represented in first aid...and pay attention to rate limiting reactions!!!
