Junie B. Jones Loves Handsome Warren (Junie B. Jones 7, paper)

There's a new boy in kindergarten, and guess what? He's the handsomest guy Junie B. has ever seen. She and Lucille and that Grace all want him for a boyfriend. Only, he thinks Junie B. is a nutball. Just 'cause she couldn't stop laughing and rolling. So how is she supposed to get that boy to love her?

I may be in the minority, but I think these books are absolutely horrible. My twin's teacher reads them to the kids at school, and my daughter loves them. She brought one home to read to me, and I was appalled. I think they are tasteless and have no redeeming value to them at all. The grammar is horrible (this is how Junie talks), and although I know it is suppose to be funny, I just don't get it. The subject matter is even worse. I think kids are too young to worry about boys, and I do not believe I want my kids reading books that are so mean spirited. With all the wonderful choices in children's literature, why choose this?

Why might someone else like this book? I think that someone else might like this book.I think that kids who think that reading is boring should read this book , becuase these books are so funny to read also because Junie is always a troublemaker.I didnt like to read before.I thought that it was really boring. When I read the first book I wanted to read all the books of Junie B. Jones.

My daughter is accumulating a collection of Junie B. Jones books, which she enjoys very much. In this installment, Junie B. falls in love with the new boy; unfortunately, so do two of her friends. The book has a gentle lesson about how to make and keep friends, but my daughter loves it because it's funny. The author as given Junie B. such a quirky voice that even grown-ups like me can enjoy listening to their kids read this book aloud.
