Every two and one-half minutes, a woman in the United States is diagnosed with breast cancer. The incidence of breast cancer in women has increased from one in twenty in 1960 to one in seven today. Fortunately, there are many doctors and organizations actively searching for a cure. And the top organization is The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, Senior Corporate Vice President of The Este Lauder Companies Inc. Now, Evelyn H. Lauder turns her energy to this gorgeous, full-color cookbook. Drawing on her years of experience working with doctors and nutritionists at leading hospitals, as well as her own personal eating philosophy, Mrs. Lauder has created a testament to living well and being well. All of her royalties will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A great gift for a mother, a sister, a husband, or a friend, this cookbook is a must-have for anyone interested in a healthy lifestyle.

Evelyn Lauder's new cook book has given our family a new love of simple, healthy and delicious food. Until now, healthy and delicious has always seemed an oxymoron.
Don't miss this! It's worth purchasing!

"In Great Taste" is a pretty book to look through, with photos of some of the recipes scattered throughout the book. It has doable recipes for cooks of all experience levels--from the 6 ingredient Lemon Chicken recipe and the easy to make "Almond Bread", to more extensive recipes like Cioppino and Steamed Veal and Parsley with Crispy Artichokes (okay, that one I won't make because I don't think any one who understands veal would eat it, but that's personal preference). There are also included more exotic offerings, yet still simple to make, including desserts from La Tulipe and the Waldorf.

Many of the recipes are introduced with a paragraph telling why they were chosen--either for the ease with which they are made, or the fact that they can be made ahead of time, or the health benefits that they contain (the purchase is, after all, going to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which Evelyn Lauder founded and chairs.)

If you are unsure of what cookbook to purchase next, I would recommend this to almost anyone.
