As a car enthusiast I am continually in search of useful automotive literature. This is one of those books. It covers car management systems in a clear and informative way. This book is aimed more at the hobbyist rather than professional but a general uderstanding of how engines work is required.
This book has helped me solve a few problems by placing the car management system into perspective. This is a highly recommended book.

Lots of history on engine systems, but I don't care one bit about that. Was hoping for more technical and specific tips, but I don't feel that the book helped me feel any more confident in modifying my engine than I was before. Might be helpful if you have a Honda VTEC or a GM LT1/LS1. Vortec guys like me... the book mentions the engine just a few times, and only to tell you that the only performance gain available on the entire engine is in swapping headers for the exhaust manifolds unless you want to spend big bucks on a supercharger.

This has been money well spent,I am happy I got it and everyone who cant leave their car alone should own it. Not for the faint hearted or old fashioned fuel injection systems.
