This book is excellent for home or professional sewers who want to make their own patterns from scratch that fit perfectly on imperfect bodies - something design school books generally don't cover. This easy to understand guide shows how to measure yourself or others to make patterns for both men and women in many different styles, as well as how to make up a mannequin, and how to alter store-bought patterns. This simple, straight-forward, inexpensive book is easily worth more than any high-priced designer school book I've seen.

This book is packed full of drawings so that you can visually compare them to the written content. It's very useful, just be aware that it is an older book so a lot of the styles are out of date, still the principles remain. No matter your style, the technical information is worth the purchase.
