It started from were it ended. This it did keep going back to the previous book for half of the book.

The book is excellent! This is the third book in Monroe's "God" series, (God Don't Like Ugly and God Still Don't Like Ugly) and it is very entertaining. I loved it.

I've read the first two books and I must say they are getting worse. The first one is the best in my opinion. There was something going on from the very first page to the last and it definitely kept my attention. The characters were well developed. The second one was on the slope downhill, but wasn't too bad...just summarized a lot. By book three I was anxious to hear what had become of everyone and I was highly disappointed. From the very beginning I had suspected who the stalker was and I was right (it was quite obvious). It seems that Annette's attitude and behavior changed so much...in the 2nd book she was beginning to feel good about herself...in this book she is like a big baby. She was constantly putting herself down and it was very annoying. The only time she addressed her daughter was when she was sending her to her room. Overall, it was quite redundant and a little boring and predictable. And who flies to Florida for a few hours then goes right back home?? Weird! However, I think this book was used to introduce Jade...maybe she is Monroe's next subject...I still have faith in the author!

First of all let me start off by saying that I've read each and every one of Mary Monroe's books and loved all of them. The Red Life wives had me skeptical but since I'm a fan I continued reading. Now here come's God don't play. Annette was really pissing me off, because what woman now a days goes off on their husband before getting the facts. The title should have been "God takes his time", because this book was very slow. I also wanted to say that the way the book ended was a real disappointment, the person who was tormenting Annette would have gotten a real beat down. I'm really disappointed in this one, but in all actuality, I'll probably continue to read Mary Monroe's books. When is Scary Mary going to retire?
