Rolando Gomez is a photographer who has experienced almost every type of scenery, from the dangers of combat to the horrors of Rwanda to up close and personal with U.S. Presidents. It is clear however that his overwhelming favorite genre is Beauty and teaching his students how to photograph it. In his book, Garage Glamour, Rolando schools us in the art, theory, and practical aspects of how to take photographs of beautiful women. Given the assumption that the reader has some foundation of photographic knowledge, Rolando presents the information necessary to create the masterpiece photos of beautiful women with the glowing skin that we've all come to admire. His presentation of photo infomation is factual in nature, however a close examination suggests it comes with feeling from his heart. If this is a skill you've considered learning, this is the book for you.

Rolando knows his stuff! This book is an excellent "jumping in" point for photographer's that wish to get into Glamour photography. You can tell by reading that Rolando has a true appreciation for his subject matter and has refined his technique to create a very vivid, elegant style. He provides great background for both the "how" and the "why" of the technique he explains to create great images and uses his own excellent example pictures as illlustration. This book will give you not only a solid foundation to start your own shoots and learn to control light, but is a valuable reference as you skill grow!

Once you buy the book, you will be hooked on shooting Glamour style photography.
I have been to Rolando's workshops, and I can say that the content and images in this book really come alive during his workshops. The images in the book are what you create in the workshops. All through the book you can feel Rolando's passion for this art and passing his knowledge to others who share his passion. This a must have reference book if you are at all serious about shooting Glamour.

"Garage Glamour" should be a required reference book for all the Glamour photographers out there! Not only can those already shooting Glamour learn something from this book, but those aspiring to learn Glamour will find a wealth of information inside.
Having been to a couple of Rolando's workshops, I can say that Rolando has a `true passion' for Glamour photography and for getting the word out. He loves to help others learn the `craft' of Glamour photography. This book is great by itself and works great as a companion to his workshops.
This book discusses the concepts behind successful Glamour photography and how to properly light the model. It does an excellent job of meticulously annotating the setups used for each of the shots shown. I learn something every time I read through it.
A highly recommended book and a `must read' for all aspiring Glamour photographers.

I read this from cover to cover when I first received it several months ago. From the first read, I picked up several techniques that I immediately put to good use.
Now I refer to it periodically and often find answers to questions that come up as I become a better photographer.
The images are great and well documented and the text is easily understood.
