Normally I do not write reviews... however I feel the complete and utter deficiency of this guide require me to do so. First off this is not a guide. It is a reference book to an online site that is pretty much no longer available. The entire guide gives brief information but does not tell you how to collect all the items do all the quests, or sufficiently beat bosses. This guide and the people who wrote it make me extremelly frustrated... What if someone wants to beat this game with all the items and does not have an internet connection? It is so thoughtless and full of, well, no information. It is possibly the biggest pile of bologna that I have ever witnessed in a published work. If i haven't fully shown my miscontempt for this guide let me say this; I am a generally peaceful person but if I were to fight anyone in the world (other than a political figure) I would fight the creators of this guide for their thoughtlessness. ARgh!!!!!! do not buy this item!!!!! save yourself!!!!

This is the lowest quality strategy guide of Final Fantasy ever.
The complete guide is released on the playonline website. This strategy guide only serves as a reference to the guide online.
The strategy guide gives a basic overview of what to do to progress the game. It includes a few chest locations, minigame, hidden items, secrets, but then tells you to look it up online to find out how to get it. Sometimes the guide just tells you at this point in the game there is a secret and you need to go online to find out what.
I would see no reason of buying this guide unless you are trying to collect Final Fantasy merchandise. Even as a collector's item, this is one bad official strategy guide.

I ordered the book because I had the game, but hadn't been able to find the book in the stores. It's a cheat book for a PlayStation game. So far it actually seems to help less than the other books I've used in the past, but until I actually finish the game, I won't really be able to comment fully on that. If you're playing a Final Fantasy game, always get the book.

Its a decent guide but they could have done a little better... and the hints to go online to get more info are a little distracting and make for a problem if you cannot go online.... but push come to shove its an alright guide....

There is one inherent problem with this guide: there isn't much OF a guide. Half of the time when you get to an important part or you want to complete a side or secret quest, it directs you to the PlayOnline website, where you have to enter a code to get the info. If I honestly wanted to go online to get information for this game, I wouldn't have wasted my money on the guide to begin with. There are dozens of FULL guides for this game online, and they are absolutely FREE (and probably easier to understand). So, unless you're a person that likes to look at pretty pictures rather than get a good grasp of the game, or you like graphs and charts more than a full blown guide, I'd have to not reccomend this.
