I had a few issues with this book. A few patterns had colors combined that were a bit off in my opinion. I trust my instincts here, as I am a painter.
The "Peel" skirt looked bulky, and kind of wrongside out. I wonder at the use of garter stitch on a heavier body too...true, they tell you these patterns wont make you look skinny. But garter stitch on my body would probably make me look alot heavier than I am!
And at first I thought they made the age old mistake of assuming all plus sized women are also tall.
I'm actually very petite...but I wear an 18....with most of the weight in the boobs and belly.
But I then read the patterns very carefully and indeed this book works well for people like me.
I think infact it would work well for a women who was simply busty as opposed to heavy all over or pregnant, but still had a small bustline and rear.
I see alot of power in this book..power to make what is right for you.
I also saw a pattern for a wrap sweater...I have been looking for a pattern exactly like this for YEARS!

I love this book, and have especially enjoyed the sassy writing and commentary from the authors. There are many wonderful patterns here, and, even better, there is excellent generalized advice about how to make sweaters fit right for those of us whose bodies do not conform to the current idea of the norm. In fact, these instructions are so good, that it will be no problem for me to adjust one of the patterns, which my non-plus sized daughters likes, to her perfect size six body.

One caveat, as in so many knitting pattern books, there are a few errors in a few of the patterns. The errata can be found at [...]. Worth taking a look before you start one of the patterns!!
