Brimming with the author's signature frankness and humor, a no-holds-barred account of what you can really expect when you're expecting.

Oh, the joys of pregnancy! There's the gasiness, constipation, queasiness, and exhaustion; the forgetfulness, crankiness, and the constant worry. Of course, no woman is spared these discomforts and humiliations, but most are too polite to complain or too embarrassed to talk about them. Not Jenny McCarthy!

In Belly Laughs, the actress and new mother reveals the naked truth about the tremendous mood swings, the excruciating pains, and the unseemly disfigurement that go along with pregnancy. Never shy, frequently crude, and always laugh-out-loud funny, McCarthy covers it all in the grittiest of girlfriend detail. With tips and hilarious musings on morning sickness and hormonal rage, hemorrhoids, pregnant sex, and the torture and sweet relief that is delivery, Belly Laughs is must-read comic relief for anyone who is pregnant, who has ever been pregnant, is trying to get pregnant or indeed, has ever been born!

I read Jenny McCarthy's "Baby Laughs" recently - and my baby hasn't even been born yet! I had such a good time reading "Belly Laughs" when I first became pregnant that I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one!

I am sure some of this is exaggeration, but I've no doubt much of it is incredibly close to the truth. True to form, Jenny rarely holds back, though it seems she has watered down her humor a touch, as compared to Belly Laughs. Despite the seemingly terrifying moments and exhaustion she describes experiencing, there is no doubt she LOVES being a mom, and will make any new mom reading this look forward to experiencing the same all the while laughing out loud. I definitely recommend this to all new mommies and mommies-to-be!

Hilarious! And so true! Luckily I didn't have as tough of a pregnancy as her, but I loved this book!

A fantastic and realist look at 'the joys ' of being pregnant. A realistic look at what's happening to your body and a great assurance you are not alone. I highly recommend this book.

I had big expectations for this book, I red the preview pages and it was hilarous. However when I got the book I was kind of sad that it had very few pages with a big font, there are like 3 pages per chapter and the contents even though very funny lacked of some conclusion.
It is great for light reading, it wont take you more than 2 days to read. It is funny and if you are pregnant I'm sure you can relate to it.
