In Around the Horn, Dr. Adrian F. Manz describes the chart patterns he has used to successfully trade the U.S. stock market since 1998. Using the clever mataphor of America's favorite pass time, Baseball, Dr. Manz presents stock patterns and detailed parameters for intraday and swing trading in a manner that is very understandable for readers with all levels of trading experience.

The book contains 11 patterns and criteria, as well as detailed chapters on how to set stops, when to take profits, and how to "stay in the game" psychologically.

The setups looks nice and simple to apply when you read the book, but it does not give me the same results when it was used in the real world of trading. I am not convinced with the five stars reviews. stay away from it or at least open your eyes wide when you read it. Good luck any way.

Since I started trading the methods in Around the Horn back in 2005 my skills have improved exponentially. It has become a routine matter for me to pick these profitable patterns off the charts because this author does not try to bog down the reader with a bunch of indicators that confuse and bewilder. He presents patterns that rely on price and time, just like all the great traders in history did.

Chart reading and skill are the focus of this book. Dr. Manz lays out step by step the methods he uses to profitably trade the markets. Manz's mostly free website [..] serves as a great supplement to the book, as the author posts his setups and trades there everyday, as well as a long list of multimedia lessons that supplement the book.

All in all, I find this book to be the best trading manual I have read and I refer to it often. I have also found Dr. Manz's commentary and instructin on TraderInsight.Com to be very valuable. This author is not afraid of giving away any "secrets," and has always been willing to answer questions.

Master this book, and you will know what it takes to master the market!
