Anyone buying a piano should have this book. It tells you how to work around a pressuring salesman (yes, they have moved even into the piano business) and the common tactics that they use. It gives accurate reviews of virtually every piano manufacturer out there, and gives the reader an idea of what things to look for in terms of quality. This book is a must especially for one looking to purchase a used piano. This book offers a very helpful routine that one should use to inspect a prospective purchase, and tips on different damages that could affect the quality of sound, touch, etc. It also covers piano care, piano FAQs, how to move a piano, etc. But, keep in mind that YOU MUST BUY THE YEARLY SUPPLEMENT. Though this book offers ratings and other information abount pianos, this book alone does NOT contain pricing. Also, though the field knowledge in this book is broad, there are also several other problems not addressed in this book that I would have though would be included.
